A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE RULES OF THE HOUSE BY CREATING A NEW RULE 94A TO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF BILLS AND RESOLUTIONS THAT A MEMBER MAY INTRODUCE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That the Rules of the House are amended by creating a new Rule 94A to read as follows:
"94A. (1) Except as otherwise provided in this rule, a member of the House may not introduce or request the Legislative Services Office to draft more than five (5) bills or more than two (2) resolutions, in the aggregate, for a regular legislative session.
(2) The provisions of subsection (1) of this rule do not apply to appropriation bills, local and private bills or bills to restore suffrage.
(3) The provisions of this rule may not be deviated from except upon passage of a resolution adopted by a vote of at least two-thirds (2/3) of the membership of the House present and voting."
